International Stress Awareness Week Activities for the Workplace
Help your team press pause on pressure. We bring onsite massage, stress management workshops and mindfulness sessions straight to your office, anywhere in the UK.
Stress Awareness Day falls on Wednesday 4 November, right in the middle of the week, making it the ideal focal point for your workplace activities. Dates are filling up, so book early.
Why Mark International Stress Awareness Week at Work?
International Stress Awareness Week takes place every November, led by the International Stress Management Association UK (ISMAUK). It shines a light on the impact of stress on health and wellbeing, and encourages organisations to take practical steps to reduce it.
Work is one of the biggest sources of stress for most people, which makes the workplace the right place to tackle it. Giving staff time out for hands-on wellbeing shows that you recognise the pressure they are under, helps them build healthier habits and opens the door to honest conversations about workload and support.
The 2026 theme
“Shaping the Future of Stress and Wellbeing: Rehumanising the Workplace”
This year’s theme is all about putting people back at the heart of work. Nothing does that quite like real human contact: a skilled therapist, a supportive workshop, a shared moment of calm away from screens and inboxes.

Ways to Mark Stress Awareness Week with Joyful Living
Book a single session, a themed day for Stress Awareness Day itself, or a programme that runs across the whole week. Every session is run by our experienced therapists and facilitators.

Onsite Chair Massage
Short, fully clothed sessions of 15 to 30 minutes that release physical tension and give staff a genuine break from the pressure of the day.

Stress and Mental Health Workshops
Interactive sessions that help staff spot the early signs of stress and burnout, manage pressure and support colleagues who are struggling.

Mindfulness Sessions
Guided group sessions teaching simple breathing and grounding techniques staff can use whenever stress starts to build.

Company Wellbeing Days
Combine massage, workshops, mindfulness and more into a complete stress-busting event, planned around your office and team size.

International Stress Awareness Week FAQs
When is International Stress Awareness Week 2026?
International Stress Awareness Week runs from Monday 2 to Friday 6 November 2026, with Stress Awareness Day on Wednesday 4 November.
Should we book one day or the whole week?
Either works. Many employers focus on Stress Awareness Day itself, while others spread sessions across the week so more staff can take part around their workload. We can plan whichever suits your team.
How far in advance do we need to book?
The earlier the better, as awareness weeks are our busiest periods, but we regularly arrange sessions at short notice. Contact us with your date and we will confirm availability.
How many staff can take part?
A single massage therapist can see as many as 24 people in a day, and we can bring additional therapists for larger teams. Workshops and mindfulness sessions can be run for small groups or whole departments.
Do staff need to get changed for a massage?
No. Onsite chair massage is carried out fully clothed, so staff can step away for a session and return straight to work.
What space do we need to provide?
Just a quiet corner, spare office or meeting room. Our therapists bring the massage chairs and everything else they need.
Can we make this a regular benefit?
Yes. Many clients use Stress Awareness Week to launch regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions as an ongoing staff wellbeing perk.
